Terms of service

By using ProgressBar.today or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the separate final-sale refund policy.

1. The service

ProgressBar.today creates wallpaper images from dates, layout choices, included backgrounds, and photos you provide. A compatible Shortcut can request an updated image from your private token each day. You are responsible for installing the Shortcut, inserting the correct token, granting device permissions, and enabling its automation.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. Users under the age of majority should use the service only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

3. Plans and one-time payments

Applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. These plans are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. We may change prices for future purchases without changing a completed purchase into a recurring charge.

4. Meaning of “lifetime”

“Lifetime” means that the purchased entitlement has no scheduled expiry while ProgressBar.today continues to operate the relevant service. It does not mean your lifetime or ours, and it does not guarantee that Apple Shortcuts, third-party providers, specific features, or the service itself will remain available forever. We may change, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

5. Purchase access and private tokens

Paid access is associated with the email used at checkout and may be restored through that email. You are responsible for keeping access links, browser access, and wallpaper tokens secure. A wallpaper token is a bearer secret; anyone with it may retrieve the associated image. Contact support if you believe a token or purchase access has been compromised.

6. Your photos and content

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide licence to host, copy, resize, transform, render, cache, and deliver that content solely to operate, secure, and support your wallpaper. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups or records we must retain.

You confirm that you own your content or have permission to use it. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, sexually exploitative, or privacy-violating content.

7. Acceptable use

You may not probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, disrupt, or bypass the service; evade payment, slot, upload, or rate limits; publish private wallpaper tokens; use automated requests beyond the intended daily Shortcut; introduce malicious code; impersonate another person; or use the service to violate law or another person’s rights.

8. Our intellectual property

ProgressBar.today, its website, code, visual design, stock backgrounds, branding, and service content are owned by us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and resulting wallpaper for lawful personal use. They do not transfer ownership of the service or permit resale, copying, or redistribution of our stock assets.

9. Third-party services and devices

The service depends on Stripe, Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, VPS infrastructure, internet connectivity, and device features such as Apple Shortcuts. Those services can change or fail independently. ProgressBar.today is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, and we cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, operating-system release, wallpaper setting, or automation configuration.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, chargebacks, disputes, unlawful content, security risk, abuse, excessive use, or a material breach of these terms. A refunded, reversed, disputed, or fraudulent purchase may lose paid access, and related photos or configurations may be removed.

11. Availability and warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not promise that a wallpaper will update at a particular time or that an automation will run without user or device action. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProgressBar.today will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss; loss of data, opportunity, profits, or goodwill; missed dates; failed automations; or third-party outages. Our aggregate liability arising from a paid plan will not exceed the amount you paid for that plan during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future use of the service. We will post the revised version and effective date here. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practical. Changes do not create a recurring payment or retroactively remove mandatory rights.
